Laser Cladding Process Notes for Laminar Cooling Roller Repair
Laminar cooling is positioned between the finishing mill and coiler in a hot strip line. The transport rollers in this section are laminar cooling rollers. Their working conditions require dimensional restoration, surface hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance to be considered together.

Workflow
| Process | Description |

| Turning | Remove the surface fatigue layer |
| Inspection | Check roller diameter and hardness, perform penetrant testing and confirm that no cracks remain |
| Preheating | 250-300 C |
| High-power laser cladding | Wear resistance, corrosion resistance, HRC55-HRC60 hardness and 800 C high-temperature resistance |
| Semi-finishing | Reserve 0.1 mm allowance on one side according to the finished roller diameter |
| Grinding and final inspection | Machine to drawing dimensions and surface roughness, then complete final inspection |
