Service Detail

Laser Cladding Processing & Repair Service

Laser cladding is used for surface restoration and performance strengthening after wear, corrosion, scoring or dimensional loss. TSHAIGONG designs, develops and produces laser cladding equipment and provides laser cladding processing services.

Laser Cladding Processing & Repair Service

Applications

Surface restoration for rollers after wear, corrosion or fatigue-layer removal

Workshop or on-site repair routes are determined by component damage, drawing requirements and site conditions.

Dimensional restoration of bearing positions, sealing positions and mating surfaces on shafts

Workshop or on-site repair routes are determined by component damage, drawing requirements and site conditions.

Local repair for mill housings, guides, bearing housings and other metallurgical equipment

Workshop or on-site repair routes are determined by component damage, drawing requirements and site conditions.

Surface strengthening for gear shafts, motor shafts, pipe molds and pinch rollers

Workshop or on-site repair routes are determined by component damage, drawing requirements and site conditions.

Inquiry Information

  • Component name, industry and installation position
  • Photos of damaged areas and description of wear depth or dimensional loss
  • Original drawings, material grade, hardness and roughness requirements
  • On-site service needs, shutdown window and site conditions
  • Inspection requirements such as dimensions, hardness, penetrant testing or other NDT

Quality Control

  • Confirm fatigue-layer and crack risks before determining cladding and machining allowance.
  • Define hardness, dimensions, roughness and NDT requirements before quotation and process review.
  • For on-site repair, confirm lifting, power supply, protection, working space and shutdown window in advance.
  • Before delivery, confirm dimensions, hardness, surface quality and required NDT.

Workflow

1. Incoming or on-site assessment

Confirm damage location, base material condition, restoration target and inspection scope.

2. Fatigue-layer removal

Remove the failed layer by turning, grinding or local machining to prepare a stable base.

3. Inspection and pretreatment

Review diameter, hardness and crack risk; laminar cooling roller repair may include penetrant testing and 250-300 C preheating.

4. Laser cladding

Select cladding material and process window according to the working condition.

5. Machining restoration

Restore dimensions, geometry and surface roughness by semi-finishing, grinding or other finishing processes.

6. Final inspection and delivery

Confirm dimensions, hardness, surface quality and required NDT before delivery.
